Timken Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings | Part # 5210WC1
This Timken Light 5200 Series double row angular contact maximum capacity ball bearing with no snap ring is suitable for applications that support radial, thrust, and combined loads. The two rows of rolling elements enable the bearing to support thrust loads in either direction, and its "Light" classification makes it applicable for use in limited space applications or for average loads. The 30 degree angle of contact of the balls in relation to the raceways give the bearing a greater capacity for supporting thrust loads over bearings with a standard contact angle of zero degrees. This maximum capacity bearing has raceways that are filled with the maximum number of balls possible for additional radial load support. The open design allows lubrication in place (these double row bearings are not pre-lubricated) and dissipating heat. Light double row angular contact maximum capacity ball bearings are suitable for use in high-speed, high precision commercial and industrial applications such as energy, chemical industries, manufacturing, and agriculture, among many other applications.
Rolling bearings use rolling elements to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. These elements can be one of the following types: ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindle, or tapered. All rolling bearings are open, shielded, or sealed. Sealed bearings are lubricated with oil or grease in the bearing factory, while open and shielded bearings are meant to be lubricated in place, with periodic reapplication of lubrication, based on use. The shield protects the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris that may be introduced and could reduce the ball bearing speed and lifespan. Rolling bearings are used in a range of applications from agricultural machinery to conveying equipment, robotics, dental equipment, elevators, rolling mills, ship rudder shafts, and aggregate crushers, among others.
The Timken Company manufactures a variety of bearings, alloy steels, and related components and assemblies that meet International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards for quality assurance. Founded in 1899, the Timken Company is based in Canton, Ohio.
